IT Expo University of Otago – 6 May

The Career Development Centre, on behalf of the University of Otago, would like to invite you to take part in the  IT Expo on Wednesday 6 May 2015.

The Expo runs from 11am – 2pm and the venue is the Link, Union.

This is the main student thoroughfare on campus which ensures excellent foot traffic!   Because the Expo is advertised to all levels of students at Otago, this means you will be able meet this year’s finalists and at the same time raise your brand with future graduates. This is a wise strategy in the increasingly competitive graduate recruitment market!  It is our experience that many students, especially the high achieving ones, are very focused on their studies and are unaware of the opportunities in the world of work.  The Expo is advertised as well to the IT students at Otago Polytechnic.

Registration is $379.50 (inc gst) and  provides a grey cloth covered back stand (2.3m high x 1.2m wide);  1.2m wide table with a black table cloth and two chairs;  WiFi access, student help, lunch (including tea, coffee or hot chocolate), and advertising (entry in the event directory, targeted student email, plasma screens, campus noticeboards and lecture overheads).  Each exhibitor has a space 2.8m wide.

Registration is now open on NZUniCareerHub, https://nzunicareerhub.ac.nz

Log in and select ‘Register for Careers Fair’ from the menu on the left hand side of the main page. Registrations close on Wednesday, April 22. Spaces are limited so early registration is encouraged.

This year we are combining this event with the Careers Fair on Tuesday, 5 May 11am – 2pm.  If you would like to take part in both events (or if you have already attended an event here) we are offering a $100 discount on the combined registrations.

The Career Development Centre is keen to maximise your time at Otago.  If you would like to interview students, hold a presentation or meet with staff while you are here, please contact Robyn Bridges: robyn.bridges@otago.ac.nz
