Presentation 1: Getting Proactive about Workplace Culture

Among the myriad of priorities start-ups and established tech companies must face, workplace culture can often be overlooked. Mary Buckley & Marie Johnston from Culture by Design will discuss why taking a proactive approach to workplace culture from an early stage in a business’s life is so beneficial for future success, particularly in the fast-moving tech sector. They will also share some practical ideas for how you can begin getting proactive around your workplace culture, regardless of how new or mature your business may be.

Presentation 2:  Making Employee Experience Matter

Samantha Gadd is the founder and Managing Director of Humankind (www.humankind.nz), a business with the vision to help build the best workplaces in the world, and more recently Kin (www.kin.co.nz), a business all about reshaping recruitment. Samantha is passionate about employee experience and growing businesses that make a difference to those who need it most, business that matters.

Samantha’s talk will cover:

  • What is employee experience?
  • What is the ROI? Why does it matter?
  • Where do I start?

Presentation 3:  Developing Agile Team Members

Shary Vargo & Kirsty Allott are co-directors of Vargo Lewis Consultants; both have wide experience in team leadership and organisational development, including technical and agile environments. They support people and organisations through strategic initiatives, coaching, mentoring and consulting, providing practical tools and logical solutions. During the presentation, Kirsty will discuss what makes technical people successful in an agile environment. She will share her experience using multiple science testing and team development techniques that support the business and the people in agile work environments.
