Dr. Vivienne Ming, Founder & Chair of Socos Labs
Named one of 10 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc. Magazine, Dr. Vivienne Ming is a theoretical neuroscientist, entrepreneur, and author. She co-founded Socos, her fourth company, where she combines machine learning, cognitive neuroscience, and economics to maximize life outcomes in education and the workplace.  In her free time, Vivienne has invented AI systems to help treat her diabetic son, predict manic episodes in bipolar suffers weeks in advance, and reunited orphan refugees with extended family members. She sits on boards of numerous companies and nonprofits including StartOut, The Palm Center, Cornerstone Capital, Platypus Institute, Shiftgig, Zoic Capital, and SmartStones. Dr. Ming speaks frequently on her AI-driven research into the future of work, education, inclusion & gender in business, technology & society, and augmented intelligence.

Stream A ~ Phil Garing, Founder of Synapsys
Phil Garing has been active in the L&D space for over 20 years. Phil has built a reputation for being forward thinking, and challenging the status quo. He’s supported a long list of organisations to think critically about their L&D strategies, and to be courageous in their execution of them. He’s recognised for his contribution to measuring learning impact and is active nationally in shaping thinking about the sector, it’s challenges and its responses. Phil is the South Island Representative on the EdTech Executive Council and is a regular presenter at conferences.

Stream B ~ Sarah Trevethick & Mary Martin, Directors of EMBED Change NZ

Sarah Trevethick is an experienced Change Manager with a passion to facilitate and deliver effective change management. Sarah provides an integrated and holistic change approach to projects and programmes, and this provides sustainable realisation of business change benefits and helps lift enterprise change management maturity.

Mary Martin has led significant business change initiatives both within New Zealand and internationally. The main focus of these initiatives has been to embed a customer centric service or business process realignment to a new operating model.
