As a member of Canterbury Tech you have access to a wealth of new connections and benefits:
Monthly events (free attendance)
Canterbury Tech events are held on the first Tuesday of each month at one of our member’s offices in the city. We have both business and technical presentations. Industry experts present on topics ranging from agile development to capital raising and latest industry updates. Craft beer, wine and nibbles are provided before and after the speaker sessions. These events provide excellent networking opportunities and are free to attend for members (casual fee is $25 per event). Please note that we do sometimes have a limit on numbers so booking early is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Networking events (free attendance)
In March 2017 we ran our first Networking workshop for members.
Tech Summit (early bird tickets)
The annual Tech Summit is the preeminent industry event of the year for the Canterbury tech sector. This one-day conference hosts national and international speakers as well as a tradeshow area. The Tech Summit offers both aspiration and educational content and allows attendees to learn about new technology developments, have insight into success stories and explore new business opportunities. The event also provides plenty of opportunity to network and share views, problems and solutions with others working in your field. Members are offered early bird tickets (subject to membership level and ticket allocation.). In order to claim your ticket you must register by the 31st July. After this date members will be charged the reduced price of $150. The 2017 non member ticket price is $350.
Quick Pitch Opportunities
Members are invited to introduce their organization or services at one of our monthly events. This is an ideal opportunity for businesses to raise their profile or get feedback on current work priorities. The quick pitches must not be longer than 3 minutes with one slide. Please contact email@example.com, if you are interested.
Cluster members will receive a monthly update including tech sector updates and links to local industry events. Members can also join the ‘Canterbury Tech Cluster’ LinkedIn group, enabling you to link your company and/or individual profile, view other member profiles, and share news, articles and discussions with other members.
