Not your average networking event! A high-speed, peer-to-peer social event.
No presentations, no lag – just real-time connections with the Canterbury Tech community.
The Human Interface:
This April, we’re optimising for maximum bandwidth. We’re stripping away the slide decks and the podiums to focus entirely on the most important part of the ecosystem: the people.
Join us for a high-energy evening of structured and open networking designed to help you bypass the small talk and sync up with the right people instantly. Whether you’re looking for a fresh perspective on a technical challenge or just want to meet like-minded peers, this is your chance to connect in real-time.
The Evening Features:
- Canterbury Tech Updates: A brief, high-level update on what’s happening in the local tech community.
- Connect Rounds: Fast-paced, structured rotations to ensure you meet a wide range of new faces.
- Open Social: Plenty of time for deeper conversations and catching up with familiar faces.
Your Custom “Packet” (Name Tag)
To ensure low-latency introductions, we’re printing your three topics of interest directly onto your name tag. When you register, let us know a mix of professional and personal passions to give others an instant ping to start a conversation.
Examples:
- Agentic Development | Neurodiversity | Skiing
- Cloud Architecture | Craft Beer | Mountain Biking
- Startup Scaling | Photography | Retro Gaming
The Table Talkers
Throughout the venue, we’ll have Discussion Toppers with a mix of lighthearted and though provoking, tech-leaning prompts to keep the conversation flowing.
Registration is essential so we can have your custom-printed name tag ready for arrival. We look forward to seeing you there!
