Alex Thorpe

Alex joined us as the new Tech Summit Manager at the beginning of 2021, and is excited to bring some new fresh ideas to the event and being part of the Canterbury Tech team.

Alex has an extensive Events and Sponsorship background, most recently working in the Agri sector, for Ravensdown and Alliance Group.  Prior to this, Alex worked in the events team at the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and the Champion Canterbury Business Awards.  Melbourne was where her exciting events career began – Melbourne Cup, Grand Prix’s and Sport Stadium events, after moving away from life as an Accountant!

Alex now has her own events company – Events by Alexandra, working across a variety of events in the corporate and agricultural sectors, as well as private events and celebrations.
