What specific expertise can you bring to Canterbury Tech Board?

What do you see are the top three opportunities to advancing the tech sector in Canterbury?

1 & 2. Leveraging the growth of data services related to MedTech and Aerospace sectors, both of which we have strong communities here in Canterbury.
3. Leveraging the unique advantages New Zealand tech companies have under the GDPR and FTA that are not widely known and unutilised.

What would be your first point of action/suggestion on the Board if you were to be elected?

Organise a talk on how NZ tech companies can benefit from the EU GDPR adequacy decision (get a speaker from NZ companies that made it their value proposition and source of success to gain international customers, eg Matomo; get someone form the EU Delegation of New Zealand; get a law firm to give an overview).
