Canterbury Tech is an incorporated society founded in 2002 around the time when the popularity of the internet meant a range of web-based businesses were starting up in Christchurch. Our membership now includes a wide range of software, hardware, electronics, manufacturing, engineering and science based companies, from startups to global businesses that make up our region’s rich technology sector.
Canterbury Tech is the largest regional tech community in Aotearoa New Zealand and it’s the most active too, putting on weekly events, supporting visiting events and putting on a the largest national technology summit in September and a festival each year during NZTech Week.
We are a not-for-profit run by a small dedicated team and a volunteer board who contribute to a range of monthly, major events and special projects. We run entirely from our annual membership subscriptions and sponsorships - we really appreciate your support!
