Testimonials

Pushing myself to get up and speak in front of 800 people was one of those “feel the fear and do it anyway” moments. Honestly, it was nerve-wracking, but the Canterbury Tech community is so supportive that it made the whole experience incredible.
What really stood out? The amazing people I got to work with, the sense of community, and the thrill of taking on such a big challenge. But honestly, the best part was the connections we built along the way. Oh, and the party afterward—because what’s a summit without a little celebration?

Speaking at the Tech Summit was actually on my professional development bucket list – so I was really stoked to get the opportunity to tick it off and on a topic I’m passionate about. It was a little intimidating preparing to talk to 700 people, but I had excellent support from Canterbury Tech with speaker coaching sessions. Since the presentation I’ve been invited to talk at a number of other events about AI, and it’s given me the confidence to step up to regular MCing at Canterbury Tech’s monthly in-person and digital events.
