TechFest 2024 – It’s a wrap!

A massive thank you to everyone who made this year’s TechFest 2024 possible – the sponsors, community groups, MCs, the speakers, exhibitors, volunteers and of course our own Canterbury Tech team and Board.

This year was the second year of running a central city hub during NZ Tech Week and we were able to build on the momentum of our first year. This year we moved the event to Tūranga, Christchurch’s city library and we launched our new name TechFest and it felt so natural is was like it had always been our name!

We were so happy to welcome back last year’s Supporting Partner ChristhcurchNZ and sponsor Spark Health for another year and bring in 3 fantastic new day sponsors See Tomorrow First, Invest Hong Kong and Information Leadership and networking sponsors Streamliners, Invest Hong Kong and Publica who brought us a fantasticly entertaining Unpopular opinions evening.

This year we were able to double the registrations and had 1400 people attend across the 5 days  – we were also able to add exhibition spaces, evening networking and drinks to 3 evenings and a support a day for tamariki thanks to the amazing work of Tagata Moana Trust and Te Ao Matihiko.
