Come join the first day-long event celebrating game dev and creative tech in Canterbury!
What’s the aim? To connect, promote, and build up the game development and creative technology industry and related communities of practice within the Canterbury region.
Who is it for? Professionals, hobbyists, students, tech groups, educators, and enthusiasts in all things game and creative technology development in Canterbury.

A day of catering, networking, and professional development opportunities!
How do the talks/panels work? Each talk will cover general elements of a discipline, what the discipline looks like in game development or creative tech, and why it is important for creating a successful product. The talks will be co-run by a mix of different communities of practice and game developers, and feature case studies of local games, creative tech projects, or works.

Who is running it? The event is being co-organized by the Christchurch Game Developers Association, The Applied Immersive Gaming Initiative at HIT Lab NZ, Crescent Consulting, Screen Canterbury, Women in Tech Christchurch, and the UC Game Dev Society and DigiScreen Society.

We ask that if you are not able to attend closer to the time, please let us know by updating your RSVP or contacting the host. This will allow us to have a good grasp on attendee numbers on the day, and free up space for others to attend if the event fills up.
