We invite you to join us via Zoom for our upcoming monthly Canterbury Tech event where we will hear from four guest speakers.
When: TUESDAY 7 APRIL 2020 at 5pm
Our Speakers:
SPEAKER ONE
Stella Ward, Chief Digital Officer at Canterbury and West Coast DHB
Stella will talk about the role of tech in healthcare in times of crisis and how the team are coping / preparing with COVID-19
SPEAKER TWO
Steve Knutson, Managing Director at Stratos Technology Partners
Steve will be speaking on The Health Workforce – Transition to Working from Home.
The working from home story starts with tools and the basic need for communication and online meetings, but what comes next? How do we shift business processes to the cloud? What are the barriers? What happens when things return to normal? Steve will talk about his observations from working with various health organisations during the past few weeks of rapid change.
SPEAKER THREE
George Wills, Founder and Managing Director of Media Suite
George will share a few insights on how to build and maintain a positive team and company culture when working in distributed mode (as most of us are now). Media Suite have embraced ‘remote working’ for many years, and George’s team are distributed around NZ and further afield. This mode of working is part of their DNA, not a new phenomenon.
SPEAKER FOUR
Dan Fowlie, Founder and COO of Trineo
Dan will also share his thoughts on building and maintaining a positive team and company culture. Trineo has offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Sydney and Boulder, Colorado, with a smattering of staff in other locations too, such as Queenstown, Seattle and Eindhoven. They are well versed at forming virtual project teams from staff in any and all locations. As with Media Suite, ‘remote working’ is part of their cultural DNA.
