Topic: Design for a customer you understand.
Facilitator: Nick Bowmast
Summary: Some brands talk of ‘putting the customer at the centre of everything we do’. Nick helps his clients to do the opposite – taking product design and marketing teams to the centre of their customers’ world. Connecting with customers in context. Nick’s first UX research project was for Sony Playstation in 2006, the beginning of hundreds of usability testing sessions for digital products. Since then his design research work moved out of the lab and into people’s worlds, across five continents and dozens of product categories, from medical devices to motorhomes, luggage to long haul trucking and many others. Nick believes great user research is something you feel, and makes the greatest impact when experienced first-hand. With UXCHCH, he’ll share what this looks like, how it comes together, and his favourite techniques to make insights stick with his clients. Followed by Q&A, and loaded with practical how-to’s for the human element in your UX research studies.
