Meet Lentune

Lentune builds construction finance software here in Christchurch, connecting what’s happening on site with what finance needs to know. The platform helps construction companies across New Zealand and Australia manage invoices, project costs, claims and reporting in one connected place.

Lentune works with builders, contractors and developers, from growing teams through to businesses turning over $100 million. The focus is helping them keep on top of project costs, so margin doesn’t get lost through missed invoices, miscoded costs and late reporting, and site and finance teams are working from the same up-to-date numbers.

Taking manual work out of construction finance

Lentune has always focused on taking manual work out of construction finance, and AI is now a big part of how they do that. It’s used to capture invoice data, code costs to the right job and match invoices against purchase orders.

The next step is smart agents that can take more of that repetitive work off finance teams, giving them more time for the work that actually needs their judgement.

The same approach is now being used behind the scenes. Lentune’s product team has moved to spec-driven development, using AI to take on more of the technical heavy lifting. That frees the team up to spend more time solving customer problems and is helping the platform evolve faster than ever.

Their advice to the tech community

Spend time where your customers work.

Lentune says its best ideas have come from time on building sites and in accounts offices at month-end, not from a whiteboard. Seeing how people actually work, where they lose time and what they have to work around gives you a much better sense of what’s worth building, and what isn’t.

Why Canterbury Tech?

It started with signing up for a seminar and noticing that members got a discount. But when the Lentune team looked into it, joining made a lot of sense.

They’re proud to be building here in Christchurch and want to connect with other local teams doing interesting things, share what they’ve learnt, be part of the tech community and help grow local talent.

Welcome to Canterbury Tech, Lentune.
