Orbica are one of the few tech organisations who have been successful in recruiting women into technical as well as leadership roles. What is their secret sauce? Why are a good portion of their staff and leaders women and what impact does that have on the company culture and success?
Delphine Ducaruge, GM of Orbica will share with us their secret on how to achieve a gender balance that is the polar opposite to most other NZ tech companies. She will also talk about the challenges that this brings with it, how a ‘mainly Women’ environment functions differently and what the value add is for the organisation and people.
Delphine Ducaruge joined Orbica as the GM a year ago. In that time she has focused on ensuring the team of ‘Orbicans’ continue to deliver great geospatial technology solutions for their customers.
With a Master of Computer Sciences (Earth Sciences) and an MBA, Delphine is a French-Kiwi who is as au fait with geek-speak as she is with spreadsheets. She brings bucket loads of enthusiasm, software product and solution experience to Team Orbica and eats up challenge, change and collaboration for breakfast. In life, as in work, you’ll find Delphine powering 100kph at stuff that equally scares and thrills: surfing, downhill biking, kitesurfing and snowboarding.
